best $100 i ever spent April 15, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from San Francisco, CA United States
I don't usually write reviews but these jeans have been exceptional for me.

I bought them in spring 2010 when I was 3 month pregnant with my second child.

I am *still* wearing them 2-3x/wk and it's two years later! and yes, I'm back to prepregnancy weight. They have faded a bit in the front but I *still* have friends comment on how good they look. They do tend to drift down a bit unless I wear a belt, but they are super comfortable and have held up really well.

I am 5'7" and 120 pounds, and I bought the XS. For pregnancy, they were great until about 7.5 months, but I couldn't wear them for the last big part. On the other hand, as you see, I've gotten LOTS of post-pregnancy wear.

Nice Maternity Jeans January 22, 2011
Reviewer: Megan from Waltham, MA United States
I bought these jeans as I love wide leg jeans.  I followed the sizing chart and bought the smalls (I'm 5'6", 125lbs, size 4 pre-pregnancy).  They were really small!  I could get them on, but at only 16 weeks pregnant I could tell they would not fit for long.  I have not gained an abnormal amount of weight either.  I returned the smalls and got the medium, and although they are a little big now, I can tell I'll be wearing them until the end.  So... if you have a round butt/thighs... go a size up if you want them to last.  Other than that, they are very cute!  They don't look like maternity jeans at all.

Best jeans I've ever owned! September 24, 2010
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I've purchased two other pairs of designer wide-leg maternity jeans (Isabella Oliver / Maternal America). I didn't like the fit - even though they're specially made to NOT look like maternity jeans, they still did. Also, they were both advertised as "dark wash" - they were not actually dark, but kind of a brighter blue that looked old fashioned. I was annoyed by paying over $100 for a pair of pants to last through pregnancy and finding that they both seemed like pants I could buy for $20 at Walmart.

I saw these in Fit Pregnancy and decided to give it one more try. They're not only the best maternity jeans I've ever found, but the best jeans I've ever owned in general. The color is a dark muted blue, the fabric is comfortable and soft, and they don't look in any way like maternity pants. I wish I'd found these first - and during my first pregnancy!

Excellent job, Japanese Weekend!

The jeans I have been searching for! January 23, 2010
Reviewer: Drew from NJ United States
I hate the long belly panels on a lot of pants/jeans because they never stay up and I don't like the panel folded or on my belly.  I don't like the adjustable waist jeans because they pinch on the sides and don't stay up.  The only tolerable maternity pants/jeans are the mid-panel because they fit most like yoga pants but the ones I have been most happy with from Gap still have to be constantly pulled up.  These jeans fit just like yoga pants, come right to the bottom of my flats (5'6" height), and don't fall down.  They are as comfy as can be and are the most perfect fit.  I only wish I had discovered Japanese Weekend much earlier in my pregnancy as I would exclusively by this style in all types of pants and jeans.  They really are a dream come true after never being satisfied with other maternity pants and jeans.
